Over the last year, A-SAFE staff have taken part in many daring and exciting fundraising activities in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research. Today saw the culmination of those efforts, with the presentation of a cheque for a record breaking £10,000. A vast increase on the previous year’s £2,735.

A-SAFE’s long involvement with Yorkshire Cancer Research started many years ago when the owners’ grandmother got heavily involved with the charity following her husband’s battle with cancer. She had played a pivotal role in the founding of A-SAFE and worked within the business for over 20 years, until well into her 80’s. Following her death, we vowed to keep up her charitable work and maintain our close relationship with Yorkshire Cancer Research.

The year’s fundraising efforts ranged from fun-filled seasonal activities for Halloween and Christmas celebrations, to intense physical challenges like Pretty Muddy and the Great North Run, and even adrenaline filled sky dives! The A-SAFE staff have made a huge effort to contribute to fantastic charity, supporting this important cause that benefits the lives of thousands of people.
