The role of the RAM is a field based individual responsible for managing repeat business with current R (Regional), M (Major), and K (Key) customers and identifying ways to proactively upsell / cross-sell, becoming a value-added partner.

How You Can Help Us

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Take overall responsibility for upselling / cross selling with existing customer base within the designated territory.
  • Conduct regular account management & follow-up meetings with stakeholders to maintain strong customer relationships either face-to-face or virtual if necessary. 
  • Identify appropriate solutions for the customer based on requirements and observations and pull together proposals for presentation. 
  • Make further recommendations where required in response to customer feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with New Business Development Managers (NBDMs) during handover phase for new clients the bring onboard.
  • Work collaboratively with Key Account Managers (KAMs), providing support where required across K (Key) and M (Major) customers.
  • Ensure all internal systems (CRM) and databases are updated in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings where attendance is required. 
  • Expectation of travel is 50% overnight per month.

Internal:

  • New Business Development Managers.
  • Key Accounts Managers.
  • Customer Success Managers

External:

  • Existing Customers.

Scope of Impact

The RAM will be assigned a specific geographic patch and will be assigned sites and / or accounts within that territory (approximately 100 sites).

  • Ensure that you, your colleagues and any visitors conduct yourselves with due regard to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, procedures and Safe Systems of Work when on site.

What We Would Like You to Bring to Our Team

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • A proven track record in a skilled account developer sales role.
  • A proven track record of identifying key stakeholders and establishing strong working relationships.
  • The ability to overcome objections and identify solutions to help secure the sale, while always remaining diplomatic and trustworthy.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and oral), with the ability to adjust style to the audience. 
  • IT literate and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • A proven track record of sales negotiations and closing deals.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to serve as a product expert by educating the assigned customer base on new and existing products. 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within the life safety or barrier protection industry and/or working with EH&S individuals. of working as part of sales team.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite CRM. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of work experience in sales and/or account management, working with both resellers and end users.
  • A proven track record exceeding growth goals.
