Code of Practice

Where there is a workplace protection need, we strive to meet it. Nowhere was this more apparent than the lack of a code of practice for safety guardrails

317 million workplace accidents occur worldwide each year. 2.3 million people lose their lives. That’s 6,300 each day.

Other areas of workplace safety have had formal standards in place for some time. Evacuation routes, PPE, hazardous materials, emergency lighting, signage, guarding for machinery, and fire safety equipment. All are standardized or even governed by legislation in many countries. Safety guardrails are just as vital and should be treated as such.

With our passion and knowledge of the subject, we joined forces with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and set about rectifying the problem.

An expert steering group of global partners

Drawing on our network of the biggest blue-chip companies in the world, we pulled together an expert steering group and sponsored PAS13:2017. A new and sorely needed code of practice to be applied across all sectors and industries. Not only did we sponsor this PAS, we were technical authors and led the steering group.

The code of practice will revolutionize workplace safety for the benefit of every industry, every workplace, every person.

It is clear to us that the implementation of workplace safety guardrails should be standardized.

Help us achieve this by adopting the code, and be part of a global community raising standards in workplace protection.
