The Role

As part of our programme of rapid growth & expansion, we are looking for a confident & experienced Production Planner. Experienced in OTIF performance across the group and help ensure picking, production, and dispatch targets are met.

They will take the lead role in driving the development of the planning team and its methodologies.

  • Support and engage with all material and planning activities
  • Driving force for the development of people and processes 
  • Provides practical support for the planning processes and team 
  • Reports daily, weekly and monthly dispatch and picking figures
  • The first point of contact for the Commercial teams, providing timely and accurate information
  • Report on service delivery
  • Develops best practices for improving efficiency and overall performance 
  • Daily scheduling activities 
  • Oversees and ensures the management of stock 
  • Assist in negotiations with suppliers
  • Ad hoc duties

The Candidate

  • Strong planning experience in multi-line/complex production environment is essential
  • Customer focused supply chain experience
  • Strong knowledge of MRP and other Materials Management techniques
  • Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of Lean principals 
  • Lateral thinker and problem solver
  • Enthusiastic team player – able to build constructive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Willingness to try new things, innovative & pioneering approach
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels 
  • Methodical and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
  • A high quality of work and 'right first-time' attitude
