More »TAKE THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO SAFER TRAFFIC SEGREGATION WITH A-SAFE
Moving vehicles, particularly in industrial applications, pose the constant threat of damage to both equipment and structures. A-Safe traffic barriers offer the most effective way to protect these vital assets by clearly defining traffic routes both physically and visually. Made from a durable polymer-based material, A-Safe products are an excellent investment in terms of both safety and maintenance cost savings.
Applications
A-Safe products are supremely adaptable and can be used in many different applications and environments including:
Traffic Segregation and Equipment Protection
A-Safe barriers avoid unnecessary damage from vehicles to walls, building supports, valuable machinery and vulnerable equipment. Low Level Traffic Barriers have a low impact height, making them ideal for use around FLT’s and trucks with standard wheel arches, while the high level version has a high impact height to suit trucks with high level wheel arches.
Vehicle Guidance
The Ground Level Traffic Barrier has a ground level impact height, so it can be used to guide vehicles up to loading bay doors and as wheel stops for articulated wagons, protecting equipment, machinery and structures.
High Impact Areas
The Double Rail Traffic Barrier has a greater resistance than the standard version to offer maximum protection from straying vehicles, making it ideal for high impact areas. A variation is the Impact Traffic Barrier with the impact rail on the ground for use with fork lift trucks or other low bodied vehicles and to prevent forks or other items pushing under the barrier.
Airport Applications
Atlas Barriers’ heavy duty construction is perfect for protection of baggage conveyor equipment, doors, floodlight masts, piers and charging units, along with many other applications.
A-Safe offers a number of unique benefits:
- Real delineation of vehicles around buildings, machinery and potential hazards.
- Provides a reliable physical barrier to clearly segregate traffic routes.
- If the barrier is hit by a vehicle, its built-in memory ensures that it springs back into shape, while its lightweight polymer-based construction minimises damage to the vehicle itself.
- Black and yellow colours ensure high visibility, so vehicle drivers can see at a glance where they should and should not be.
A-Safe provides far more than just a comprehensive range of safety products. We also offer a full consultation service, ensuring that you choose the right product for the right application. This is complemented by a full installation and maintenance package, with a leasing option available if required.
Customer Referral
“A-Safe products are much more user friendly than the previous barriers we had in place. They are saving us thousands of pounds a year.”
Jack Lawtey, Facilities Manager, ASDA Walmart, Normanton
Technically Speaking
- Low Level Traffic Barrier has been tested with an impact force of 152kn as set out in BS6399. This is the equivalent of a 1.5 tonne vehicle travelling at 10 miles per hour
- A-Safe Low Level Traffic Barrier can reduce annual maintenance costs of up to £39,500 for 500m when compared to single rail box beam steal
Health & Safety - Did You Know?
117 workers have been fatally injured over the past two years as a result of being struck by a moving vehicle accounting for more than half of all fatal transport-related injuries.
“Protective barriers to keep vehicles away from pedestrians areas, and clear markings to set apart vehicle and pedestrians routes, are also effective”
(Workplace transport safety, An employers’ guide)
