Vehicle Kerb

The Vehicle Kerb is a floor mounted 110mm high product in the Light Vehicle/Wall Protection range for vehicle guidance and low/ground level impact protection. The product is assembled from 110 x 110mm section rails installed between a combination of end and mid posts. The standard post centre distance is 1500mm but the use of non-standard rail lengths allows between 250 and 1750mm allows the Kerb to be assembled to any required length.

After assembly the Vehicle Kerb posts are easily and quickly anchored to the floor mounting surface by the single anchor bolt which is provided as part of each post assembly.

Applications and Benefits

The Vehicle Kerb has two main applications. The first is to define the edges of designated traffic routes to prevent the vehicles using the route straying beyond extremities of the route and possibly causing damage to walls, structures and equipment or to the vehicle or the load it is carrying. The second is to act as a buffer or stop to provide impact damage protection for building walls, other structures or equipment that can be caused by vehicles straying from their designated routes or by stored goods being forced against them.

It can also be used to prevent stored goods encroaching on pedestrian areas or walkways and to stop vehicles, FLT forks or goods passing underneath a barrier.

They are generally used in workplace areas where hand operated or manual electric pallet trucks they and sit down powered order pickers are being operated to remove or reduce the maintenance and repair costs associated with impact damage that can be caused to walls structures and equipment.
