Post & Rail CP

Post & Rail CP

The Post & Rail CP column protectors are based on the successful A-Safe Pedestrian Barrier product. They are suitable for protection of columns of any size with any section shape, square, rectangular, circular or irregular. As standard the protectors are supplied as a square or rectangular section comprising four 110 x 110mm corner posts with four horizontal rail sets of three rails running between the corner posts. The length of the rail sets are sized to suit the shape and size of the column being protected. The Post & Rail CP protector rails provide protection to a height of 1100mm.

The protectors can be supplied as two or three sided units to provide protection for columns located at the corner of two walls or in front of walls. They can also be supplied to a specific height with the requisite number of rails to provide protection to suit the size of vehicles and loads that are operating near columns.

Applications and Benefits

Within the Colum Protection range the Post & Rail protectors provide medium duty protection and like the Rota CP range can be used in any industrial, warehousing, manufacturing, commercial or public environments where columns require this increased level of protection against moving vehicles.

In industrial, warehouse and manufacturing environments they are suitable for use where hand, electric or powered vehicles up to the size of a 2500kg counter balance FLT are operating and in commercial and public environments where cars and light goods vehicles are present. Like all A-Safe products they are designed to be easily and quickly installed and to remove or reduce impact damage and its’ associated maintenance and repair replacement costs.

  • Customer Referral

“A-Safe has proven time and again that the plastic barriers are superior to steel in all areas, offering my team peace of mind that what we are installing is not only doing its job of protecting the workforce and machinery but also cost-effective in the sense that repairs, maintenance and damage to the barriers, vehicles and equipment is negligible. Where possible we are looking to continue to roll out A-Safe barriers to replace steel ones across the site.”

  • Technical Did You Know

    • The components (Pedestraian Barrier) from which the Post & Rail CP Column Protectorsare assembled have been tested and certified to the loading requirements of BS6180.

  • Health & Safety Did You Know

“Column protection needs to be properly designed. The use of brickwork, car tyres or oil drums filled with concrete or hard core around columns, is unlikely to be suitable as these will transfer the impact loads directly onto the columns.”
